More police on Gedling's streets

During the Covid pandemic fraud and online crime rose as criminals continued to use more sophisticated ways to scam hardworking people across the UK.

Having delivered on their manifesto commitment to recruit 20,000 new police officers, the Conservative Government are making sure the police have the funding they need.

Tom Randall MP has welcomed the legislation brought forward at the King’s Speech as part of the Conservative Government’s commitment to deliver the long-term decisions for a brighter future.

Figures released today show that 418 extra police officers have been recruited across Nottinghamshire as part of the Conservative Government’s manifesto pledge to put 20,000 more officers on the streets.

During the morning of Thursday 14 April, Tom Randall MP met with Gedling’s Neighbourhood Policing Inspector to talk about constituents' concerns relating to crime.

Under new plans announced by the Conservative Government, perpetrators of anti-social behaviour will face swift and visible justice through Immediate Justice across the Nottinghamshire Police Force Area.

Last Friday, Tom Randall MP contributed to the debate on the Equipment Theft (Prevention) Bill in the House of Commons. If passed into law, this new Bill can help to deter, prevent and catch those who commit tool theft.

Newly released figures show that 380 new police officers have been recruited in Nottinghamshire as part of the Conservative Government’s pledge to put 20,000 more officers on the streets by March 2023.
