Got Brexit done, taking back control of our borders and levelling up Gedling’s communities

The 20221-22 Parliamentary session closes with more progress made on the Conservative Government’s commitment to make the most of our Brexit freedoms and create a stronger Britain with more opportunities for all.

Only around 63% of people who are eligible to receive Pension Credit claim it, making it is one of the lowest take-up levels for an income related benefit.

It has been a sunny week in Parliament and Gedling where my work has included:

Gedling’s MP, Tom Randall, has welcomed the announcement that Gedling is part of the 178 projects across the UK receiving extra funding to support grassroots football within local communities.

During Business Questions today, Gedling’s Conservative Member of Parliament Tom Randall said: “Gedling Borough residents are opening their council tax bills to find a letter, signed by the Leader and Deputy Leader, criticising the government, including that the borough has not received levelling

Parliament has been on recess this week, meaning I have not been travelling to and from London but have been at home in Gedling every day where my work across the constituency has included:

Gedling Borough Council will receive £273,240 in extra funding next year as part of the Conservative Government’s £174 million investment to deliver homes for rough sleepers.

Tom Randall MP has welcomed the Conservative Government’s Levelling Up White Paper and the boost it will bring to Gedling by increasing wages, improving living standards, and regenerating local communities across the country.
