This week was spent at home in Gedling, where I was out and about in the constituency and helping constituents. My work has included:
Chatting with Colwick residents and assisting them to resolve noise complaints
Visiting the impressive Netherfield Primary School and meeting with Head Teacher Mr Crone.
Learning about the work that goes on in extracting gas from Gedling pit which is then used as energy in homes across Gedling.
Speaking at the Mapperley and Arnold Rotary Club and answering questions from its members.
Chatting with Gedling’s Neighbourhood Policing Team about their plans to keep Gedling safe and raising concerns on behalf of constituents ranging from anti-social behaviour to speeding.
Asking Jigsaw Homes about their housing provision in Gedling and future development plans to meet social housing demands.
Officially opening Stockinger House assisted living complex in Burton Joyce and chatting to residents.
Visiting Carlton le Willows Academy, which is another fantastic school in Gedling achieving great results for our students.
Marking this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning at Rivendell View Care Home in Stoke Bardolph.
I finished this week filming BBC One’s East Midlands Politics. This will be aired on Sunday afternoon and you’ll be able to hear my thoughts on recent events.
Whilst there was plenty of politics in the news this week, I was able to assist a lot of constituents with a whole host of enquiries and issues they faced from policing to planning. Helping Gedling’s residents remains one of my favourite bits about my job so as ever, if I can be of assistance, please do get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
Enjoy your weekend.
