The 2023/24 National Funding Formula allocations for schools have recently been announced by the Government, confirming an overall increase in school funding across Gedling of almost 3%.

Following the funding boost announcement, Tom Randall MP said, “Every child across Gedling should have the chance to succeed in life and I am proud that this Conservative Government is boosting education funding by £14 billion.

“In 2021, this resulted in a 4.3% increase in the overall school funding across Gedling and next year it is providing an increase of 2.7%. I am delighted to have helped secure another funding increase for every school across Gedling and will continue working for further increases, levelling up opportunities and transforming the lives and prospects of Gedling’s pupils.”

Every school in Gedling will receive a per pupil increase of funding again next year, averaging 2.4%. This includes a 5% boost in per pupil funding at Woodthorpe Infant School and a nearly 5% increase at Netherfield Primary, Priory Junior School, Christ the King Academy, Westdale Junior School, Warren Primary Academy, The Oakwood Academy, Carlton Junior Academy, Stanhope Primary, St John’s CofE Primary School, Porchester Junior School, Ernehale Infant School, Arnbrook Primary School and Carlton le Willows Academy.
